I realized recently, when I found the old voice memo, that I wrote this song on my first night in LA. My friend was letting me crash in her bed. I didn’t have my own place yet. I wrote the chorus on her guitar and a few months later played it for Slush in the studio and he loved it. This song holds so much meaning to me because it was the start of a new life. One I didn’t think was possible.
