Mela Bee - Dance & Cry

My name is Mela Bee. I am a singer-songwriter from a small town in Ontario, Canada. My journey with music started at the age of 5 when my dad bought me my first Roland keyboard. Since then, my life has revolved around music. Dance & Cry is a song I am quite proud of and it happens to be my very first Music NFT. I wrote it with my acoustic guitar and it tells a story of heartbreak. I produced it with my partner, Dakota Buck, in our home studio and our goal was to keep the production as close to the raw performance as possible. I spent a long time (approximately 3 years) exploring how blockchain technology can impact the music industry and attempting to determine where I fit in Web 3. When this song was written, it was an "ah-ha" moment. I immediately knew this would be my genesis drop. After many nights in spaces, performing this song on repeat to my wonderfully supportive community, I am happy to FIANLLY present to you: Dance & Cry.
